Varied types of cover

You can choose to insure the loss of your money for either, or both:

While it is in transit.
Within the premises.

What it covers

The policy provides two forms of cover. You can choose to insure either one or both.

1. Transit risk (loss of money outside the premises)

You are covered for the loss of money by its:

actual destruction,
disappearance,
wrongful abstraction (robbery),

while being handled by authorised personnel. You have to assess the highest amount carried, as this represents the limit of liability for any one event.

2. Premises risk (loss of money inside the premises)

You are covered for the loss of money due to theft or robbery:

within the described premises.
for money kept in a locked safe, strong room and other receptacles.

You have to assess the highest amount of money kept in the premises at any one time as this represents the limit of liability for any one event.

In addition, you are also covered for the cost of repair or replacement of the safe, strong room or other receptacles – for an amount up to RM1,000 associated with theft or attempted theft.

don’t cover

✖︎ War and related risks.

✖︎ Strike, riot and civil commotion.

✖︎ Any act of terrorism.

✖︎ Confiscation or destruction by or under the order of any government or public authority.

✖︎ Forged bank or currency notes.

✖︎ Shortage due to error, omissions or accounting errors.

✖︎ Unattended vehicles.

✖︎ Use of duplicate keys unless they are obtained by ✖︎ threat or violence.

✖︎ Depreciation in value.

✖︎ Any consequential loss whatsoever.

✖︎ Losses arising from ionising radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel, nuclear waste or nuclear weapons material.
