Tokio Marine Malaysia has proactively designed and launched the Tokio Marine COVID-19 Medical Assistance Fund to support our customers during this difficult time.
These benefits will be available for the hospital admission during the prescribed period or whenever the RM 5 million fund has been fully utilised, whichever earlier.
Under this initiative, we have also launched JomVaccine Campaign to encourage anak-anak Malaysia to get vaccinated by supporting in terms of medical expenses, daily income or condolence payout if any serious adverse effect/event(s) resulting from the vaccination received.
Vaccination is paramount to protecting our community and moving forward. Let’s do this together and flatten the curve!
This initiative is designed to provide assistance to our eligible customers who have individual medical plans that does not cover COVID-19, i.e. medical plans with general exclusion on communicable diseases that require quarantine by law (pandemic exclusion).
This benefit will reimburse medical expenses that result from hospitalisation due to COVID-19 Category 3/4/5 to any private hospitals.
Reference can be made to current MOH guidance to understand the clinical management of confirmed COVID-19 patients.
The amount we will reimburse is subject to the limit stated in the summary table below. In addition, the hospital admission, as well as its related treatment, must be medically necessary for the reimbursement amount to be paid out.
This benefit is for private hospital admission from 17 August 2021 until 30 September 2023. All eligible claims must be submitted to Tokio Marine Life no later than 31 March 2024.
