In this challenging time amidst the COVID-19 virus outbreak and as a Good Company, Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd. (TMLM) has set up a RM 1 MILLION COVID-19 FINANCIAL SUPPORT FUND to help our customers during this difficult period.
We will use this Financial Support Fund to provide additional benefits as follows:
1. A special lump sum Compassionate Benefit of RM 10,000 that will be payable to our customers in the event of death due to COVID-19. This benefit is applicable to the policy holder and his/her immediate family members.
An additional of RM10,000 will be payable if the individual is a Front-Line Medical Staff .
2. Daily Hospital Admission Support of RM250 per day (subject to a maximum of 30 days) if customer is tested positive for COVID-19 and is being quarantined at the hospitals designated by the Ministry of Health Malaysia. This benefit is applicable to policy holders only.
We are offering this benefit from 20 March 2020 - 30 June 2021 while we continue to monitor the progress of the virus.
1. All Benefits are payable if the incident is due to COVID-19, and are payable on top of all policy benefits.
2. This program is for Individual Life policy only, group policy customers are not entitled for this program.
3. Immediate Family is defined as parents, spouse and children (aged 21 and below).
4. Front-Line Medical Staff is defined as medical officers, houseman, specialist, nurses and paramedics who are registered with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and is under employment by a hospital in Malaysia.
5. To enable us to help as many people as we can, per policy holder is entitled to only one claim regardless of the number of policies the customer has.
6. Daily Hospital Admission Support will only be paid if the insured is tested positive for COVID-19 and is being quarantined at the hospitals designated by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
7. Waiting Period
a. Compassionate Benefit: nil
b. Daily Hospital Admission support: 14 days from policy issued or reinstatement date
