Bank Resona Perdania Bancassurance Cooperation with 3 Leading Insurance Companies

PT Bank Resona Perdania (Bank) launched a Bancassurance Reference Business Model collaboration with 3 (three) insurance companies and one of them is PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia. This launch was attended by Mr. Ichiro Hiramatsu as President Director of PT Bank Resona Perdania, Mr. Hajime Jodai as Managing Director of PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia, and 2 (two) representatives of other insurance companies.

This Bancassurance collaboration is insurance for credit guarantees for debtors which includes fire insurance, property all risk/industrial all risk, and earthquake, which aims to improve the quality of the Bank's credit risk management implementation and also the profitability of the fee-based income obtained. On the other hand, debtors will primarily benefit by obtaining security for the insured collateral as well as ease in the insurance process, both in the registration process and the claims process.

Bank Resona Perdania is the first joint venture bank in Indonesia. Bank Resona Perdania has been operating since February 1, 1958, which is clear evidence of Indonesia and Japan's efforts to increase economic cooperation, especially in the banking sector. "Perdania" is an abbreviation of 3 words, namely "Trade", "Industry", and "Agriculture". Currently, the controlling shareholders come from 2 Japanese banks, namely, Resona Bank, Ltd. and The Bank of Yokohama, Ltd.

In February 1969, the Bank officially operated as a foreign exchange bank. The bank has undergone several name changes, in 1994, Bank Perdania changed to Daiwa Perdania Bank. In 1999, the Bank again changed its name to Bank Daiwa Perdania. Then, in 2003, it changed its name to Bank Resona Perdania.
