1. I did not receive the confirmation email after signing up on the website, what should I do?

You may get in touch with us via the Contact Us button. Key in all required information, select “Sign-Up” in the dropdown menu and input your message. A representative will contact you for further assistance.

3. Why didn’t I receive the MyTengah Protect MosBite policy document after signing-up on the website?

An acknowledgment email will be sent to you upon successful submission of your application for our processing. We will inform you via email notification when your policy document is ready for viewing online via our TMLS Policyholder Portal. This may take up to 7 working days from the date of your application.

4. I want to enquire about my MyTengah Protect MosBite application. What should I do?

5. How do I know if my MyTengah Protect MosBite application is successful?

You will receive a confirmation email with an e-reference number after a successful submission within 1 working day. If you did not receive the confirmation email, please get in touch with us via the Contact Us button.

After you have received the issued policy, you may visit the TMLS website and download the Change of Address/Contact Form at Forms | Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore.

MyTengah Protect MosBite

1. When will my MyTengah Protect MosBite be effective?

Your MyTengah Protect MosBite will be effective once TMLS has approved your application with receipt of the full premium. Please note that the acceptance of your application is subject to TMLS’s internal clearance on regulatory and administrative checks. TMLS will inform you via email notification when your policy document is ready for viewing online via TMLS Policyholder portal. This may take up to 7 workings days from the date of your application.

2. What are the key feature of MyTengah Protect MosBite?

This plan is designed to covers dengue fever, malaria, yellow fever, chikungunya fever and zika fever. Upon the diagnosis of any of the covered mentioned above, a lump sum benefit will be payable.

3. Who is eligible for MyTengah Protect MosBite?

To be eligible for the plan, you must be a Tengah Resident, and is either a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident or Work Pass holder residing in Singapore with a valid NRIC/FIN. The policyowner must be at least 19 age next birthday; and the life assured is between 1 & 98 age next birthday.

You will need to have your SingPass login details to sign up.

4. How long is my MyTengah Protect MosBite policy valid for?

Your MyTengah Protect MosBite coverage is valid for 1 year, subject to the receipt of the yearly premiums and is eligible for yearly renewal, subject to the terms and conditions of this policy. However, the renewal of your policy is not guaranteed.

5. I am interested in MyTengah Protect MosBite; however, I have not moved into Tengah yet. Can I purchase the policy before my key collection?

Yes, you can. MyTengah Protect MosBite is an exclusive plan and specially curated for all Tengah residents. You are eligible as long as you have signed up for BTO flat in Tengah with the Housing Development Board with a valid Tengah address provided during your online sales journey through the TMLS website.

6. Can I purchase MyTengah Protect MosBite for my family members?

Yes, you can. MyTengah Protect MosBite is allowed for third party application (including parents and grandparents)

7. Is there a waiting period for the benefits covered by this policy?

Yes, a waiting period is enforced. TMLS will not provide the basic benefit if the life assured is diagnosed with a covered disease within 14 days from the policy’s issue date.

8. Is the premium rate for this policy guaranteed?

No, the premium rates are not guaranteed. We retain the right to change the rates by providing 30 days’ written notice in advance.

9. What is the premium payment method and payment mode for this policy?

Premiums are payable annually, and payments must be made via credit card.

10. Does this policy offer any surrender value?

This policy does not provide any surrender value.

11. What is a separation period?

We will not pay any benefit if the life assured is diagnosed with a covered disease within 90 days of a claim being payable under this policy. For the avoidance of doubt, there must be at least a separation period of 90 days between the latest confirmation date of a clinical diagnosis of a covered disease and the next subsequent covered disease.

12. What is the process for me to submit a MyTengah Protect Mosbite policy claim?

You may visit the TMLS website reflected in the instructions to submit a claim at Making Claims, Your Step-By-Step Guide | Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore.

Please choose the claim types based on the condition you are claiming for, under the MyTengah Protect MosBite policy.

Example: If you or your family member is making a hospitalisation claim for Mosquito-borne illness, select “Hospital & Surgical Claims Process” to guide yourself through the claim process.

13. How long does it take for claim processing?

Your claims can take up to 14 calendar days, depending on the complexity of the claims and the completeness of the submitted documentation.

14. How do I terminate MyTengah Protect MosBite policy?

You may write in to customercare@tokiomarine-life.sg for the cancellation request and provide your details e.g., policy number, NRIC number or reason of cancellation. Alternatively, you may visit the TMLS website and download the Request for Change Form. Please click here: Forms | Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore. Please note that the email address must be the same as the email address provided in your application form.

15. Will I receive a premium refund if I cancel the policy during the coverage term?

No, any unused portion of the premiums will not be refunded.

16. Does the Policy terminate after I file a claim?

No, the Policy remains in effect after a claim is made. However, there is a separation period that the life assured should be mindful of. Please refer to question 11 above for more details on this clause.

17. Is it necessary to transfer the policy when the child reaches the statutory age of an adult?

No, it is not required. The policy will remain unchanged, with the parent as the policyowner and the child as the life assured, even after the child reaches adulthood.

18. Can an individual previously diagnosed with a covered disease apply for MyTengah Protect MosBite?

Yes, this plan is offered on a guaranteed issuance offer (GIO) basis, meaning no underwriting is necessary.

19. Is it possible for a non-Singapore resident to purchase MyTengah Protect MosBite?

No, as the coverage of this plan is restricted to Singapore, the policyowner/life assured must reside in Singapore to be covered under this policy.

20. Is there a limit to the maximum sum assured an individual can purchase for MyTengah Protect MosBite?

Yes, there is a maximum sum assured of $3,000 per life.
