If you are not at fault
  1. If the car of the third party or other party (hereinafter called T/P) has no insurance, ensure that you:
    • Ask the T/P to write a liability slip and get a copy of his/her car registration. If you can’t have it, please take note the car registration number, brand, the name and the address of the driver.
    • Keep the T/P documents e.g. driving license or identification card.
    • Make a report to the local police and send a carbon copy of your report to us.
    • Inform us immediately the next working day.
  2. If the T/P car has insurance
    • Exchange the Claim Form (the white one attached to the policy) which both insurance companies have issued for insurance type 1, 2, 3 and so on.
    • If the T/P does not have a Claim Form, ask him/her to contact his/her insurance company.
    • Ask the T/P for the Liability Acceptance Note from his/her insurance company’s surveyor.
    • Inform us immediately on the next working day.
  3. Claim Form Procedure
    • Present the Claim Form and ask third party whether he/she has a similar Claim Form as yours. If yes, please proceed as below. If not, contact your insurance company.
    • Verify the vehicle’s Registration No. mentioned in the third party Claim Form is the same as his/her vehicle’s plate number. If not, contact your insurance company. If yes, please proceed as follows:
      • Fill in all details in Part II of your Claim Form, and record all instances of damage to your vehicle and third party’s vehicle in Part III and Part IV accordingly. By mutual agreement, all details recorded should be identical on both documents.
    • Sign your name on your own Claim Form as well as third party’s document. Please follow this procedure:
      • mark the on the “Right” box if you are not at fault,
      • mark on the “Wrong” box if you are at fault
      • mark on the “Both negligent” box if both are negligent.
      • If you are unable to determine which party is at fault, the traffic policeman’s decision will apply.
    • Exchange this Claim Form with the third party, then bring the document and notify us of the accident in writing within 7 days. This is to protect your right in claim compensation before having your vehicle repaired.
    • If your vehicle was insured under 2nd class (Third Party Fire and Theft) or 3rd class (Third Party Only) conditions, and you are right, bring the Claim Form of third party who is at fault and contact his/her insurance company to notify your claim for compensation within 7 days.
    • Request a new Claim Form from us for further accident usage.
  4. In case the T/P car has insurance but the T/P is unable to contact his/her insurance company.
    • Note the name of insurance company, policy number and the expiry date.
    • Note the T/P’s car registration number and brand, together with the T/P’s name and address.
    • Ask the T/P to write a liability slip and obtain a copy of his/her car registration. If you can’t have it, please note the car’s registration number.
    • Keep the T/P documents such as the driving license or identification card.
    • Make a report to the local police and send a carbon copy of your report to us.
    • Inform us immediately the next working day.

If you are at fault
  1. In case the T/P car has no any insurance or “Claim Form”, please follow this procedure:
    • Arrange an appointment with the T/P to visit our office with the damaged car on the next working day. Take photographs of the damage in advance, if possible.
    • After the police decide that you are at fault, ask the T/P to copy the carbon copy of the report and bring his/her damaged car to our company.
    • In case it is obvious that you are at fault, write a liability slip to him/her.
  2. In case the T/P has insurance type 1, 2, 3 and so on and he/she has “Claim Form”
    • Exchange the “Claim Form” (the white document attached with the policy) which the company issued and follow the procedure identified in the form or Item No. 1.3.

If both insist each other’s negligence
  1. In case both parties are negligent and have insurance type 1, 2, 3 and so on and he/she has “Claim Form”
    • Exchange “Claim Form” (The white document attached with the policy) which the company issued and follow the procedure identified in the form or Item No. 1.3
  2. In case the T/P car has no insurance or “Claim Form”, please note:
    • If the case is investigated by a police officer who judges that the insured is negligent, please copy the police carbon copy and contact us with the damage car.
    • If the case is not investigated by the police, ask for a note stating that both drivers are negligent.

If both cannot judge who is at fault
  1. Report to the local police immediately.
  2. Don’t move the cars until the police arrive.
  3. Let the police judge who is at fault. If you are not at fault, see No. 1.
  4. If you are at fault, see No. 2.

If you injure a person
  1. Bring him/her to the nearest hospital or clinic immediately for initial treatment. If you have compulsory policy, please show the document, such as the sticker we have given you to attach to your windscreen, to the hospital officers. Most hospitals will give initial treatment to the victim, without payment because the hospital will send us a debit note. Some hospitals may require payment in advance, which will be reimbursed to you later.
  2. Inform us immediately on the next working day.

When you car is seized

If your car is seized for investigation at the police station, you should bring all valuables out of the car. Ask the police to check and record the car’s condition, and get a carbon copy of it.

When your car is stolen

Please call to Lost and Found Car Center, Tel. 1192 (in Thailand only) and make a report immediately. Next, report to the police station nearest to where your car was lost with these documents:

  1. Car Registration Book (with authorized signature and seal)
  2. Power of Attorney (with authorized signature and seal)
  3. Your company’s affidavit (with authorized signature and seal)
  4. Copy of authorized director’s identification card or passport with his signature (a person who gave the power to act in his name)
  5. Copy of authorized person with his signature (a person who is entrusted to act). If the stolen car is under hire purchase agreement, please check with your finance or leasing company.

After 1 month from the date of the car loss, please call us for a requisition letter to the police, regarding the progress of their investigation. At the same time please prepare these documents to claim for compensation:

  1. Car Registration Book (with authorized signature and seal)
  2. Power of Attorney (with authorized signature and seal)
  3. Transfer of ownership (with authorized signature and seal)
  4. Your company’s affidavit (with authorized signature and seal)
  5. Copy of authorized person’s identification card or passport with his/her signature
  6. Key

If bail is required for the driver

The company will prepare the bail money up to limit of liability for bail bond as stated in the policy.
