Report an Accident
When involved in a motor accident, you are required to report accident (whether claiming under own policy or not) with your accident vehicle (whether damaged or not) to our approved workshops within 24 hours or the next working day after the accident.
When to make a police report?
Always make a police report if it involved any of the following:
- If someone is injured or dies
- A hit-and-run situation occurs
- Where a government vehicle/property is involved
- Where foreign vehicle is involved
- Where pedestrian/cyclist/PMD rider is involved
- Vehicle caught fire
- Vandalism
When involved in a motor accident with Malaysian Vehicle, you have to lodge a police report at the nearest Malaysia Police Station.

a. Motor Certificate of Insurance (CI)
b. Driving Licence
c. Company stamp (if the vehicle is registered under a company)
- Details of the accident, including date, time and place.
- All involved drivers' names, contact numbers, vehicle registration numbers and insurance details.
- Names and contact details of any witnesses.
- You must not shift your vehicle. Take photos of the damage on all vehicles involved.
- Take down the particulars of all injured persons, if any, and note the extent of injuries.
- Police report number (if applicable).

- Instruct our approved workshop on whether you are reporting for record purposes, claiming from your own policy or against third party’s policy.
- If you are claiming from your own policy, we shall send a surveyor to view your vehicle once we receive the report form and estimated cost of repair.
- To our adjusters or surveyors to assist in the investigation.
- To our panel lawyers to find out more on the accident circumstances.
- Forward in-car accident footage to us.
- Forward Originating Claim (formerly known as Writ of Summon) and any legal letters/correspondences to us.
- Forward composition fine or other documents from the traffic police to us.
